Training Multiculturally Competent Counselors to Work with Asian Indian Americans

Describes the influx of Asian Indians to the United States. Discusses the training of multicultural counselors to work effectively with Asian Indian clients, the world view of these clients, acculturation issues, and implications for counseling. Outlines experiential counselor training, such as intern/mentor programs, that can be used to educate counselors. (RJM)
