Joining the Canadian Tribe: Building a Pluralistic Community in a B.C. School

Immigrants often comprise most of the student body in urban Canadian schools. A school-based friendship club fosters intercultural understanding and a welcoming atmosphere for students and parents. A bilingual assistant helps parents and staff understand cultural differences.
