Multicultural/Intercultural Teacher Education in Two Contexts: Lessons from the United States and Spain
Describes the situation in the United States and Spain regarding multicultural/intercultural teacher education. In both countries, educational systems grapple with questions of difference and social justice. Conditions in each country that led to the development of multicultural/intercultural education as a philosophical framework for teacher preparation are examined, noting challenges faced by multicultural/intercultural teacher education in each country.
