Citizenship Education in Multicultural Society--What Can We Learn from Israel?
Studied the attitudes of 37 Israeli secondary-school counselors towards immigrant students and citizenship education. Most believed that implementation of citizenship education is a school wide enterprise, and most supported an assimilationist perspective for immigrant students. Implications of a belief in a culturally plural perspective, held by relatively few counselors, are discussed. (SLD)
